Description
ETHIBOND EXCEL™ Suture, Green, Size 5-0, 4" x 30", with CCS needle, is a sterile, nonabsorbable surgical suture composed of long-chain, high molecular weight polyester. This braided polyester fiber is specifically formulated for superior strength and minimal tissue reactivity during long-term wound support in soft tissue approximation and ligation.
The braided configuration offers enhanced pliability and excellent handling characteristics. ETHIBOND EXCEL™ is coated with a polybutilate compound that serves as a lubricating agent, reducing tissue drag and improving suture passage. This coating also enhances knot tie-down and overall suture manageability during complex procedures.
The suture is colored green for improved intraoperative visibility. It retains tensile strength indefinitely and is not degraded or absorbed in vivo, making it ideal for use in tissues where prolonged tensile strength is required, including orthopedic and sternotomy closures.
